Ozzy Osbourne’s tribute to John Lennon’s 70th Birthday.

Last October Ozzy Osbourne released a cover of John Lennon’s song “HOW” in this featured video created and filmed in New York. Some of you may or may not remember the song “HOW” – it was featured in Lennon’s second solo album “IMAGINE”, which was released in 1971. Feel free to purchase Ozzy’s cover song on iTunes, all proceeds are set to go to Amnesty International.

Australian photojournalist David Adams

If you’re a photographer you may know of David Adams and his incredible work as a photojournalist and documentary film maker.

In 1999 created “Journeys to the Ends of the Earth” for the Discovery Channel then continued to create such files as White Lions – King of Kings, Flight of the Elephants, The Last Mahout and Land of Fear through his production company called “David Adams Films”.

This year I had the opportunity to trade up from the D90 to the D300s and I must say it’s been a great transition. Everything from the more professional feel due to the rugged magnesium alloy construction, 100 percent frame viewfinder coverage and the full 8 fps (with optional MB-D10 battery grip)… I couldn’t be happier.

Mexico 2010 Through My Lens

Valerie and I had a chance to sneak away to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the end of September. It was a last minute idea, a chance to get away from my day job at Metafore and our busy lives running PastimesOnline.ca as well as our other online ventures. It was exactly what we needed as we spent the time relaxing by the pool, walking the beaches every evening and exploring the new and old part of the city. It’s been 8 years since we’ve last visited Puerto Vallarta, so I was happy to bring along my camera to document all the new (and somewhat familiar) sites PV has to offer. Below are some of the images and sites I saw through my lens.

Ondi Timoner’s documentary chronicles a decade in the life of Internet pioneer Josh Harris, who instigated an “artificial society” experiment in which more than 100 artists lived under 24-hour surveillance in an underground compound in New York City. After FEMA broke up the project, Harris turned the cameras on himself and his girlfriend. Timoner’s provocative film (winner of the Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at Sundance) includes clips from Harris’s projects as well as her own original footage.
